• Can you cut precisely from my CAD files/drawings to tight tolerances?
  Our CNC machines are finely tuned to provide accurate and precise results. There is always a tolerance with any machined part with the majority of influence being tool wear. We use only new tooling rather than sharpening worn tooling to get to obtain the closest possible to the expected result.
  
  
• Can you work with specific materials — plywood, MDF, birch ply?
  We work with most sheet form material such as Plywood, MDF, Foam, Dibond, Acrylics and real timbers but we do not work with any metals other than composite board such as Dibond.
  
  
• How fast can you turn this around, especially with a tight deadline?
  We offer a fast track service for time limited work. As this affects other planned work this can come at a premium however we do run extremely low lead times so this may not apply.
  
  
• How does your quote/pricing compare to other CNC shops?
  We are deliberately uninfluenced by other CNC shop quotes and pricing and take all work on its own merit. We are often praised for our fair pricing being noted that we are extremely competitive. We offer our quotes purely on the work involved on an individual basis.
  
  
• Will you actually understand what I’m asking for (non-technical clients)?
  We are well versed with the requirements to obtain a fully satisfactory end result. We identify issues with drawings as much as possible and always discuss options to overcome issues ahead of machining. We also offer a CAD creation service to take your hand drawn sketches or notes to machining stage.
  
  
• Can you work with supplied materials or can you supply the materials needed?
  We can do both. We have trusted and competitive suppliers for all materials and are also happy to work with materials supplied by you or arranged by you with your suppliers.
  
  
• 3 Axis or 5 Axis?
  We run several 10×5 – 3 axis CNC machines and 8×4 – 3 Axis CNC machines. We specialise in 3 axis CNC and do not run 5 Axis CNC machinery.
  
  
• Can you handle custom furniture/joinery work (not just standard panel cutting)?
  We specialise in precision CNC Machining of timber and acrylics and do not venture into joinery or assembly.
  
  
• Can you take a rough brief and design it, or do I need finished drawings?
  We can take your hand drawn sketches and create the full design work but this is generally a charged for service which can be a timely process.
  
  
• What’s a fair/reasonable price for this kind of job?
  All work if taken on its own merit. If it is a lengthy, delicate or intricate design this naturally takes longer to complete and is charged accordingly.
  
  
• How’s your turnaround time and communication during the project?
  We aim to have very low lead-times for all projects and generally have a good expectation of timings for project completion. We often dedicate our CNC machines to a specific project until it is fully completed and are able to provide fixed completion dates where needed. Once we are instructed to start work we will make contact if anything arises that causes concern or needs clarification and confirm completion as soon as the project is complete to inform of delivery or to allow collection.
  
  
• Do you work with trade professionals (joiners, shopfitters) as well as individuals?
  We work on all projects from large scale industrial/commercial to small start-ups and smaller business along with personal projects.
  
  
• What materials can you cut?
  Plywood, MDF, acrylic/plastics, foams, OSB, Valchromat, Buffalo Board, Stokbord, Nylon, HDPE, PVC, resin table flattening/skimming, PU foams, EPS
  
  
• Can you handle both large-scale production runs and small, one-off/bespoke jobs?
  We work on all projects from large scale industrial/commercial to small start-ups and smaller business along with personal projects.
  
  
• How do I get a quote — do I need CAD files already, or can I send a rough sketch/photo?
  In order to get an accurate quote we need to understand the extent of the work and the amount of materials that will be needed.
  
  
• What file formats do you accept for CAD designs?
  Predominantly we take 2 dimensional CAD drawings in DWG/DXF, SVG, Illustrator ai files & PDF documents and more. For 3 dimensional drawings, STEP, STP, OBJ files.
  
  
• Can you supply the material, or do I need to send my own sheet stock?
  We work with either customer-supplied (delivered personally or arranged with own supplier) or sourced by us material, whichever is your preferred option.
  
  
• Is there a minimum order size, or can you do single, one-off pieces?
  There is no minimum order size however a minimum charge would apply to small projects.
  
  
• How fast is your standard turnaround time?
  We aim to complete no longer than 2 weeks from the point of order or material receipt but are usually faster than this limit. This would depend on project size so large scale projects are an exeption.
  
  
• Does material nesting affect the price?
  We have nesting software that optimises material usage and to avoid wastage. Nesting parts will determine the amount of material needed so this is the most cost effective method which ultimately has a bearing on cost.
  
  
• Where are you located, and do you serve customers outside the local area?
  We are located in the beautiful Somerset village of Cheddar with close proximity to the M5 motorway. We work with nationwide customers with delivery partners to cover the whole of the UK.
  
  
• Do you offer collection, or only delivery?
  Of course you are welcome to collect or we can arrange delivery by courier or pallet. For specific or unusual sized loads we are able to arrange dedicated delivery options also.
  
  
• Can large or palletised orders be accommodated?
  We are able to arrange delivery of standard or oversized pallets.
  
  
• How long have you been in business?
  We incorporated in 2021.

  Kitchen manufacturers, shopfitters, cabinet makers, designers, sign makers, artists, model makers, event organisers, automotive manufacturers, prototyping engineers and much more.

• What’s the maximum sheet size and material thickness you can handle?
  We have a maximum bed size of 3050mm x 1525mm
  
  
• Do you do edge-banding
  Sadly we do not offer this as a service.
  
  
• Can I pay online, and what are your payment terms
  We can provide an online card payment facility if needed but prefer BACS transfer. We request payment ahead of material order or work for new customers but provide 30 day terms moving forward with future orders.
  
  
• Do your prices include VAT?
  We are VAT registered so all invoicing and quotations show the VAT element.
